The Project Team for the Eastern Shoshone Cultural Hub is pleased to announce a new opportunity for artists interested in collaborating on a unique project.
The Project Team is now accepting entries for a new logo for its Eastern Shoshone Cultural Hub. The logo must incorporate the words Sosoni Kahni, which translates to Shoshone House and is pronounced “So so nee gy” with the use of the Beverly Crum / Wick Miller Orthography used by the online Eastern Shoshone Dictionary.
One winner will receive a prize of $300 and be featured in a blog post on our website. This contest will close on December 1, 2025, at 4:45 p.m. Artists will be asked to include details on how they developed their design and what it means to them to be a part of this contest. The Project Team would also like to learn more about the artist and their work.
Honorable mentions will be awarded $50 and must adhere to the same guidelines as the first-place winner.
Logos must be an original design solely created and owned by the artist and not currently being used elsewhere for commercial purposes. The winner will be required to sign an agreement to transfer all rights, title, and interest in and to the logo, including all originals, copies, and other tangible embodiments of the logo, to the Eastern Shoshone Tribe to receive the monetary prize.
The use of Artificial Intelligence is expressly prohibited for this logo. To be eligible for this contest, any logo design submitted must be an original work created primarily by the artist's hand or by tools controlled by the artist and must reflect significant human creativity, skill, and judgment.
