Why this Matters

For centuries, the Eastern Shoshone people have endured the devastating impacts of colonization, forced relocation, cultural erasure, and economic marginalization. Our stories were silenced, our lands divided, and our ways of life threatened.

And yet—we are still here.

Through every hardship, the Eastern Shoshone people have shown unwavering strength, courage, and resilience. Our language lives on. Our traditions continue. Our elders still pass wisdom to our youth.

The Eastern Shoshone Museum and Cultural Hub is a symbol of that resilience—a place where we reclaim our narratives, revitalize our culture, and create new opportunities for healing, learning, and connection. It is where our people can gather, grow, and thrive—on our own terms.

Your support helps build not just a facility, but a future rooted in sovereignty, community, and pride.
